Work preparation: the heart of the application
In the Work Preparation Module of Roser Systems® work packages can be prepared and viewed. Scopes can be obtained from an extensive filtering and selection screen. Each work preparation is worked out in detail, so that the work can be done properly. During the work preparation process the use of templates saves you a lot work. Templates are blueprints of (often) occurring tasks in your plant. These templates already include a planning logic (= step-by-step plan: which jobs can commence after jobs are ready and which jobs should have been). Furthermore, the resources (manpower as well as means) and possibly the hours have already been added to the template by the Admin ('Auto-approve'). All materials, tools, man hours and such are determined and processed, and the basic plan card and duration are created.
Part of work preparation is that plan cards and relations between activities are corrected per work package by the work planner. After verification and approval of work preparation the activities including resources, costs and operational deadlines can be easily exported to Schedule-IT® or your own scheduling software. The resulting schedule can be imported back into Roser Systems.
Monitoring the project plays a pivotal part in Roser Systems. The system provides controlled sign off and set ready, using the extensive reporting options your progress status can be obtained at any time.
With Roser Systems you can facilitate and centralize the communication (reviews, photos, etc.) between departments. It uses authorization and user group rights, which ensures that both contractors and own staff from different departments can work with the application in a secure manner and simultaneously.
Optimization of quality checks and systemized handover
In Roser Systems® the modules Work preparation, Quality Control and Handover Systems work together. During the work preparation quality checks and documents can be linked to a work package. Think of punch items, pressure test forms, forms to confirm equipment closure (equipment closing forms) etc. This is controlled by the Quality Control Module.
Only when this is done for all scopes one can continue in the Handover Module to “handover to production”. With the Handover Systems Module the commissioning requirements can be determined, linked and monitored. In this module scopes are released for start-up (RFSU), per production system and/or plant and transferred to the production department on the basis of acceptance and QC sign offs.
Real-time progress information using digital wallpapers
During execution it is important to see the status of the work in different levels and layouts. For this Roser offers a digital solution by using an optional Wallpaper.
For example the wallpapers show which jobs can be performed at a certain time. These can be filtered by contractor or factory etc.
It is possible to display multiple wallpaper layouts by using the player. A playlist which automatically scrolls and changes layout to provide information at central locations in the factory.
The real-time data is presented in an overview for everybody to view during daily maintenance, turnarounds and shutdowns.
The strength of the Wallpaper lies in its adjustable layout, you can design it to your own preference. The Wallpaper contains filters to view the work (progress) per plant, equipment type, contractor, process system, TA/SD phase etc.
What jobs are planned for today and the upcoming week? Which jobs can I start? What jobs were left uncompleted today?
These are some of the questions that typically arise during daily maintenance or a turnaround execution phase and which are now answered in a smart and clear graphical overview called the Timeline Wallpaper.
The various departments - like Operations and Maintenance - including contractors and supervisors will all benefit from the customizable timeline and job information displayed per day. When a job is 100% completed the next job resource to start will directly be informed (based on network diagram logic). Progress can be directly updated in the wallpaper if the user is authorized in the Roser user management.
Optional LED screens
The Wallpapers will be at its best when displayed on large screens. We offer mobile 55” electric height adjustable LED screens. Click here for our hardware products.
Optional Mobile devices
Via our Roser Mobile-IT app “jobs to start” messages may also be sent to your mobile device, like a smart phone or tablet.
Rental version of the wallpaper is only available for clients who make use of Roser SaaS/Citrix. If Roser Systems is installed on your local client server you can purchase a site license for the Wallpaper. Please contact us for price information.
Propack® your digital bidding tool
After planning the workpackages with detailled manhour estimations/ calculations per job within the Roser Systems®, a quotation request can be sent out to various contractors. Propack® (Procurement Package) enables you to send along all workpack information necessary to provide a proper price proposal. The workpack will be opened by the contractor in the Propack Viewer, an easy to use tool which offers the same look and feel as the work preparation module.
The advantage of Propack is that you, as a customer, can decide what the contractor is obliged to include in his bid. Thanks to the Propack Viewer all pricing information is entered similar and will return to you in a uniform manner with all required information. Due to this standard format comparing prices is easier; no more Excel sheets with different sorts of in- and exclusions.
Another important feature of Propack is the ability to keep track of revisions to scope and revisions to bids.
Also, after approval on an offer the price information is incorporated in Roser Systems!
Propack consists of 2 elements:
1. Propack Generator:
by the procurement department of the client approachable through Roser Systems as a plugin, this way quotation requests ("Propacks") can be sent contractors.
2. Propack Viewer:
a small programme which is used by the contractor to open a Propack and enter the prices.
Middle ware solution and synchronisation of data
How do you secure that the data integrity between your ERP system and Roser is compliant? For this purpose Roser has developed the data exchange module (DAEX module).
We use a middle ware solution to communicate data between Roser and your ERP system, e.g. SAP®. As a customer you can decide when and how frequent the data must be updated. This data exchange module can help you to keep the data in your ERP system up to date!
• Import notifications and work order data with short and long text.
• Maintain your asset data, like synchronising functional locations between your ERP system and the Roser Catalog.
• Maintain your vendor data.
• Sync your material/article data and bill of material.
• Create files in Roser to export data to generate purchase requisitions.
• Create material files to export and order materials in your ERP system.
